Mini WAS 6.20 = ABAP engine installation

Hi Colleagues,

I have been trying to install Mini WAS 6.20 trial software from new Cds on a laptop with 16.3 GB of free disk space. In the process of installing the Kernel on Cd1, installation is aborted with the log:

HI,

As i understand there are two problems.so u have to make two changes.First u have to copy all the installation file of Kernel cd and Data cd into ur hard disk and execute the installtion file from ur hard disk, and second is check the computer name and enter the ip address and computer name in c:\windows\system32\etc\hosts file. i hope it solve.let me know about ur installtions.

Pls reward if u get helpful answer.

As suggested by a colleague, I have copied Cd1 (kernel & SAPDB) to the hard disk in c:\miniwas, ans ran setup.bat from this directory. But I still have a problem.The window for specifying 'drive for DB software' does not allow for input. Clicking on [Next], location of kernel cd is required. I specify e: and get this error log

Hi,

As i told u on my first post that u have to copy all the cd i mean (Kernel, Data1 , Data2) into ur harddisk. but never create a folder C;\Miniwas because it creates by sap during installions. so u have to rename the folder in which u copy the kernel and data1 cd.copy all the cd into ur hard disk and then try to run setup again
