Hi Experts,

Can anyone explain me in detail what is the purpose of lookups? How many types lookups does PI support? Pls. provide me the links of different weblogs which explain each lookup in detail?

Hi,

Suppose you need to get some values during Message Mapping and you dont want to hard code them (as they are readily available in Database or SAP R3). then you go for doing look ups

Different lookup's which you can do are RFC look up and DB look up

In graphical mappings standard functions for these are available. Also you can write your own code for invoking an RFC or DB table.
