Could any one help in configuring the IGS differently so that i can render the graphs in webdynpro application.

I know how to configure it in Visual Admin but i tried it no luck do i need to do any tweaks in such a way it turns the magic on.

Hi Kelli,

I think there is no other way except the one described in SAPNote 704604:

-

1. Start the SAP J2EE Offline Config tool, path:

\usr\sap\<SID>\<Instance>\j2ee\configtool\offlinecfgeditor.bat

2. Switch to editing mode and press the Edit button.

3. Click on the Configuration Adapter in the tree.

4. Under Configurations, expand webdynpro->sap.com->tcwddispwda.

5. Double-click default in the propertysheet tree.

6. Click on IGSUrl in the dialog box.

7. Enter the default URL of the IGS under Custom.

8. Click on Apply custom.

9. Press Ok.

10. Click on the view/edit button, and exit the Visual Admin tool.

The default URL of the IGS is generated according to the following template:

http://HOST:4NN80

where NN denotes the instance number.

If the J2EE search engine and the IGS are on the same machine, we recommend that you use http://localhost rather than http://HOST.

For NN you have to fill in the instance number. You could check </usr/sap/<SID>/JC<NN> to find out. If it's <JC77> for example, you have to specify port 47780 (==> http://localhost:47780).

Hope it helps.

Hi Schröder and All,

Thanks for the quick response however i have tried with all these options, could you please let me know that do i need to install ant IGS service IGS......SAR file if YES ? then how i tried to deploy the IGS....SAR file using SDM it does not worked for me .

My server credentials are like this Instance number is 00 , so i am using http://HOST:40080 after sucessfully configuring in Visual Admin .

Is it correct like IGS will get installed along with Netweaver Developer work place WAS 7.0 (I am using original SAP Netweaver SR2 installation DVDs ) Please Advice.

Thanks,

Kelli

Hi,

yes, as far as I know it's correct that the IGS will be installed along with all > Netweaver 7.0 releases. You only have to configure the URL in the VisualAdmin.

To check if the IGS is already installed you could open up the .

Another try is to active additional trace files to get a more helpful error message.

Please check SAPNote 1145243 for necessary steps.

Two other ideas:

1. If you're using any load-balancer or webdispatcher don't use this URL (e.g. http://portal:40080). Please use the URL of the Central instance (e.g. http//host1:40080).

2. If there is a firewall installed (in the network or on your pc) please check this too.

Hi Schröder and Experts,

Please Advice for Graphics Rendering Problem.

I tried with the options which you have mentioned

I was unable to search the (http://:/index.html), click on and search for <tc/graphics/igs>. in my Portals because search does not

have the general components Or options to get the tc/graphics/igs and i saw all the installed components and also upgraded

components (SP9 to SP18) and also i have checked the Note 1145243 , i am not using the central instance so my IGS URL will be

http://: 40080 Since my instance number is 00 .which is also no LUCK .I appreciate if you could help me out with this

problem.

Thanks,

Kelli.
