PI 7.1 Installation Error - ERRNO TEXT WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused

Hi Experts,

I'm presently doing a Netweaver PI 7.1 installation on windows 2003 64bit with MSSQL 2008.

It's a standard deployment.

I'm currenlty getting the following error on phase 32 of 46 which is Restart Instance.

The firewall is disabled.

The etc/service file has the necessary entries.

Would I be missing anything?

I corrected the problem by starting the sap service in the management console.

Restarted the installation and it completed successfully.

There was no service started therefore no listener on the port 3300.

For some reason this is not reachable. Check netstat -an if this port is already used.
