How to modify ESS ii views code which are imported from NWDI to NWDS

Hi

I imported ESS components from NWDI to NWDS. I am able to see all files in xml format. actually I need to add some code in each iview, so what should I do now to see event handler where I can add my code.

any doccuments on modification of ess i views using NWDI
