Hi,

Step to be donw on production system.

1. First login to production system and goto stms

2. Goto Overiew menu & goto Systems.

3. you will get production & devlopemen system in list , select production system & goto SAP system menu & click on delete.

Step to be done on Development system.( Domian Controller )

1. Login into 000 client with DDIC user & goto STMS

2. Goto Overiew menu & goto Systems.

3. There you will get only development system as we have deleted production system, now goto menu Extra & select Delet TMS configuration

Now TMS has been deleted & you are ready to create new TMS.

Any query , pls reply.

Thanks

HI ANIL

UNFORTUNATELY i made a mistake. i deleted the TMS configuration for both DEV and PRD so wen i try to distribute my configuration it gives the error

"File
SAPDEV\sapmnt\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_DEV.PFL could not be opened for writing (Invalid argument)"

but the file is available in the transport directory

thanks

Hi,

No need to create RFC manually,

ON PRD
TMS Alert viewer
transport control program tp ended with error code 0212
error:could not access file as supposed
command:SHOWBUFFER PRD PF=\\SAPDEV\sapmnt\trans\bin\TP_DOM

If you ip address is change , check whether new ip address is getting resolve between servers.

check in the host file where the DEV server hostname is mapped with new IP.

while on DEV

message:RFC-communication failure
RFC communication error with system/destination
partner not reached

Also check in the host file of developement server new ip hostname is mapped with new ip.

IF every thing is fine, then pls try to re-configure the STMS , which should resolve the error.

Thanks

SAPDEV\sapmnt\trans\bin\TP_DOM

while on DEV

message:RFC-communication failure

RFC communication error with system/destination

TMSADatPRD.DOMAIN_DEV (at here is @)

partner not reached(host sapdev, service sapgw00) /

Hi Walata,

As you said earlier users are not able to access the DEV server.

presently users in location B can access the PRD server in C but are not able to access the DEV server.

if the ports are open , the users should be able to access the application.

Thanks

Hi Walat,

User access problem :-

You located at location B are not able to access server DEV which is located C

Pls take help from your system administrator for doing below task if you are not aware about output

From location B try to telnet server DEV on port 32<NN> or 36<NN> ( <NN> is your instance no of DEV )

for e.g

from command prompt run the following command

telnet < dev server ip > 32<NN>

check the ouput

How to check the ouput

1 after giving the above command, if you get blank screen it mean ports are open

2 after giving the above command, if you get ouput on screen like " conneting to server < dev server ip > it mean ports are not open

If the ports are not open then inform you network team that port mention aboev should be open for users.

once the ports get open check above step again , if you get the blank screen , then you wil be able to login to SAP

Server to Server Access problem :-

From server DEV to PRD and vice versa check whether you can share the drives .

if yous system team that yor PRD system should be able to to access the share folder sapmnt of server DEV ( SAPDEV )

As well as check server to server port 33<NN> is open or not

Any query pls reply.

Thanks

hi anil,

thanks for ur reply, i believe its going to be very helpful. but could u please tell me how to check the open ports and wat to do if they are not opened?.

Hi Walata,

If i understood properly, users in location B are not able to access DEV while they can access PRD.

In this case, try doing a telnet on ports 32<Inst No> and 33<Inst No> from location B to DEV server in location C. If you are no

not able to do the same then either the services are down or some issue with the network.

Also check the host file entries from where you are trying to access to DEV servers. Try logging in with IP addresses.

Cheers......,

thanks Raghu,

the thing is that both the systems cannot communicate via SAP but can ping each other which rules out a network issue.im tempted to tink that its an RFC issue.wat do u tink?

Hi,

Check your RFC configuration & hosts file entries.

You might change it to new configuration.

Hi Walata,

In Windows, you can locate the host file in the directory C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

To do a telnet open the command window and type telnet <IP address of the server> <port no>
