We have created a contract catalog in CCM which creates a two level schema, the top level being identified by the contract number, the sub level being contract_catalog_classification_schema. The one material item in the catalog is attached to the top level of the schema(the contract number). We cannot map this to our schema in the ccm master catalog, the assign category button is alway greyed out. Not sure what we are doing wrong and pretty new at this, can someone help out???
Thanks
Rob: you cannot map CatalogID (line) to CatalogID, or CatalogID to Schema. You have to select both Schema lines, and then map.

Hi Serguei,
Do I need to map the contract Catalog and Master Catalog explicitly?? SAP documentation on this says:
"When you transfer a contract to SAP Catalog Content Management, the system compares the items in the contract with supplier catalogs and SRM product catalogs that already exist in SAP Catalog Authoring Tool. If an item in the contract is the same as an item in an existing supplier catalog or SRM product catalog, SAP Catalog Contract Management automatically:
1) Copies the additional values available in the supplier catalog or SRM product catalog to the contract catalog
2) Maps the contract information for the item to the master catalog, if the corresponding item in the supplier catalog or SRM product catalog has been assigned for mapping.
So, the mapping has to happen automatically.. isn't it?
Regards,
Waheed.

Waheed: according to SAP documentation, the Contract-Master catalog mapping is automatic. I set up this scenario once for testing purposes, and don't remember what happened exactly. The mapping has to exist though - be it automatic or manual.
If it's not automatic for you, make sure your CCM system is patched to the recent level, and, alternatively, log a customer message with SAP Support - may be it's just a bug.
I don't think this particular CCM integration scenario (contract distribution) is a very popular one. It's major flaw I find is that supplier catalog content must already exist, so all you're doing is basically updating existing CCM content with a contract price. So much hassle for so little functionality...

Serguei
Thanks for the response, we have checkboxed this field which (in our supplier catalogs) allows us to map, but in the contract catalog it does not work the same. Any other ideas.
Thanks

Hello Rob,
We have the same problem. Did you find any solution for this?
Btw, 'created a contract catalog'?. I hope you meant that you released a contract with the 'Distribute to catalog' checkbox ticked and it got created.
Also, does this mean that there will be one catalog for each contract released??
Regards,
Waheed
Hello Rob,
I remember that button was greyed until you activate the first checkbox on the right. (I can't see te screen now but I think the checkbox say something about subcategories included)
I hope this help you
