We are working on finding out the backup/restore of MaxDB on windows by doing filer level snap shot and then do the roll forward.
Process will be to copy all the data files from the snap shot bring the database in admin mode and try to do the roll forward. Anybody is having any idea if this is doable and what would be the complete process. The only reason we are trying this is that its very easy to implement and restore.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Well, easier would be to simply take a usual data backup.
Anyhow, MaxDB does support filer snapshots.
Check these notes to find out how:

From 7.8 onwards it will also be possible to maintain the information about the filer backups in the backup history. That way you will be able to start a log history without the need of a normal full database backup first.
