Hi Experts,
My client want all the work item attachments(like doc, pdfss) of work items to be stored on DMS instead of SAP Database.
Initially I thought it is not possible. But after reading couple of posts here..it sounded like it is possible.
I really appreciate if some can help me in doing this config..
thanks,
Hari K
Another update,I tried to change the content repository SOFFDB(Database storage for SAPOffice documents) to point to IXOS
server. I used the same entries from another working IXOS content repositor. But I am getting the fallowing error when I tried to attach document to work item.
'Include file in PC application. Try again?'
Here is my settings:
Content Rep : SOFFDB
Document Area : <blank>
Storage type : HTTP content server
Protocol : IX_OLEU1
Version no : 0045 Content Server version 4.5
HTTP server : xx.xx.xxx.xxx
Port Number : xxxx SSL Po
HTTP Script : Archive
Basic Path : /usr/local/.... valid path
Archive Path : /usr/local/....same valid path..
Please let me know what I am missing...

Manoj, Data Carrier screen is emplty. There are no entries.
There are fallowing 4 tree nodes
Define Data Carrier Type 'Archive'
Define Data Carrier Type 'Vault'
Define Data Carrier Type 'Server,Front End''
Define Data Carrier Type 'External DMS''
Which one I should choose and what to provide to make PC as default...

Hi All, thanks very much for your time to post your thoughts..
Finally we were able to fix this issue..Just to share the solution..here is solution..
change the content repository 'SOFFDB; to point to your external DMS
Storage type - 'HTTP Content sever'
Protocol - DMS protocol
HTTP Server : server URL
Port Number : 8080
Basic Path: path on the server
Work with DMS/basis team to create the directory path on DMS..
