Problems with UWL / ITS & Workflow approvals or rejections

I have a customer that is implementing EP 6.0 with ITS 6.20 and part of the scope includes the usage of UWL for workflow approvals.

The problem they are facing is that, when they approve or reject a workflow request, there is no field and/or window where they can state the reason for the approval or rejection.

Does any one know if this functionality is supported by SAP?

If it is supported, does anyone know the way to resolve it?

adding comments to decisions is IMHO not supported by standard, though there are some workflows that support it (e.g. the WD-application "LeaveRequest" from the ESS Business Package for ERP2004/5)
