Hi All,
I have a quick question, Can we use XI in pulling out data from R3 using SAP Standard extractors. Please tell me the Standard extractors come as a part of BI or they are a standard programs on R3 server.
Regards,
Kalpana.
I am not aware of standard Extractors...
if standard extractors are more over like BAPI/RFC i.e remote ly enabled function modules then its possible to pull out the data by XI from R/3...

from what i know standard extractors are used to populate data from r3/ecc to BW/BI
to push the data to PI, the option would be to use an abap proxy

Hi Kalpana,
An standard extractor can be a function module or a Table or a View.
Although it is not directly possible for XI to call an extractor as such, it is still possible to call a Remotely -Enabled Function modules.
So, I would say, it is still possible to call certain types of Extractors(Especially Function modules, provided they are remotely-enabled).
