Pb woth RFC communication

Hi PI Expert,

I'm working on a ECC6 RFC Sender -> PI -> Web service Receiver Scenario.

My RFC connexion TCP/IP (type T) on ECC6...:

-worked fine yesterday (test connexion function => OK)

-doesn't work anymore today (test connexion function =>Time out error message)

I don't see anything strange in SM58 nor SMGW....

some tips : yesterday, i stopped tests in the evening after waiting and waiting SE38 execution results on ECC6. And i had to kill with SMGW actives connexions in "Interrupting..." status...

There shoudl be a RFC sender configured in PI with the Program id which is used in this RFC destination.

Got to communication channel (in Runtime workbench) and stop the channel and then again start.

Later test the connection, it should work

what exact error it is throwing ? , check your max. rfc connections..

Hi NW Expert,

my max connection is fixed to 5 on PI in SenderRfc cc.

I get in SM59 a Timeout error when checking connection.

Very Helpfull Note.

I checked my configuration on ECC6 & PI : on ECC6 side, my program Id used on gateway seems out of order or totally busy (checking with RSGWREGP report displays Timeout)...

So, i tried using a new program Id in my SenderRFc channel (and activate it) for the same ECC6 gateway. Nothing happen in ECC6... Then, i don't understand why, as explained in Q22 answer , this new progr Id is not automatically registered in my ECC6 gateway...

Any idea about this ?...

After creating the new prog id in R/3 ,did you changed the same in PI..

Hi Rajesh,

Yes : in ECC6, SM59 TCP/IP connexion use same program Id as my SenderRfc cc in PI.

FYI : i didn't register my program Id in gateway. Only used it in SM59 connexion...
