Hi everybody,
does anyone have experience with syndicating to remote locations? We need to syndicate to a Windows shared directory, but neither the mounted drive nor the UNC path in the Distribution Root Dir parameter in the mds.ini works. I guess it is a Windows authentication problem. Any ideas or workaround?
Best regards
Christian
Hi,
If you are perfroming Auto Syndication to a particular location, Check on following Configs:
1. In Console, Port is maintained with a syndication map assigned to it.
2. In distribution root dir(mds.ini file) the Ready folder path is mentioned(XML oud bound file location). In your case mention the windows shared directory path, where you want the ready file to be placed.
3. Processing typr in Port is automatic.
4. Syndication server is in "Started" in services.msc.
In case your autosyndication is not happening try to syndicate to the desird port(selecting port option in Syndicator>file>new>type. This will show atleast your port is working fine if your are able to syndicate data. Restart MDSS if port is working fine and autosyndication is nmot happening.
Hope this will help.

It is solved. It seemed to have been a Windows authorization problem.
