Unable to Connect to DB

Hello,

We installed MDM7.1 on windows 2003 x64 server. DB (Oracle 10g) resides on the same host. I am able to connect to the DB from command prompt. However, when i startup MDM from MMC, mount MDM server(MDM console) and connect to DBMS settings, the option (DBMS settings) is greyed out.

Is there something i am missing before making the first connection, has SAP made changes to the way MDM application connects to the DB/recognizes the DB.

Any help will be appreciated !

Vinay,

We have granted all the necessary permissions to sidadm and the user in the DB.

Any other suggestions welcome.

Hi Sharan,

The login ID that you use for DBMS login must have admin previlages on the DBMS server.
