CUP 5.3 Java Authorisations

All,

After spending far too long messing about with Java Roles, I'm admitting partial defect and asking for help!!

I am trying to create a role within CUP 5.3 which restricts a specific support team to only being able to access the Request administration element of the Configuration Tab.

I have assigned the following actions to the role.

AE.ViewAccessEnforcer

AE.ViewConfiguration

AE.ViewRequestsAdministration

AE.ViewSearchRequestAll

AE.ViewSubmitRequest

AE.ViewSuperAccess

AE.ViewReject

AE.ViewApproverDelegation

AE.ViewHold

AE.ViewSaveRequest

AE.ViewApprove

AE.ViewRemoveAccess

However, when I try to action this I receive the following error message.

Problems occurred while performing operation:

com.virsa.ae.commons.utils.framework.NavigationException : User not authorized

Can any of you please suggest what maybe missing from this authorisation as I am really struggling with it now!

Thanks, Simon

All,

Through a painstaking trial and error method of assigning actions, I have found that you need to have the AE.ModifyWorkflowConfiguration action assigned in parallel to be able to use the Request administration functionality.

So much for SOD then!!!

Wouldn't it be nice to have SU53 in AS Java...?

Yes, we tried the same thing and came to the same conclusion.

Had a word to my SAP GRC contact to make sure they were aware of this little "feature".

Perhaps when GRC10 (built on ABAP with IViews) comes out, this will be sorted!
