Hi,
Can anyone please help by suggesting some SAP notes on memeory management parameters for ECC 6.0 (netweaver 2004s) running on Windows and SQL database?
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Juan,
Currently, as per configuration,
ztta/roll_area: 6500000
ztta/roll_extension: 8000000000
abap/heap_area_total: 8589934592
abap/heap_area_dia: 3000000000
abap/heap_area_nondia: 3000000000
em/initial_size_MB: 8192
Now, some big report is running and the job is failing for "No more storage space available for extending an internal table."
with dump: TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED.
Now, planing to increase some correct memory parameters to correct values so that th job completes successfully.
Could you please suggest on which parameters values can be increased and how much?
Thanks & Regards,
Sujit.
Can you say how much memory you have, and how much applications running on this server (for example how much memory are presented for DB to). Your report are DIA or BTC ? Can you check in ST22 TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED
the memory distribution ? In any case for so big ztta/roll_extension look's like very small em/initial_size_MB,
on Windows why you are not use ZAMM ? Note 88416 - Zero administration memory management as of 4.0A/ Windows
Regards.
Ohhh this is coming from thread...
right? (Please close the previous thread)
Check
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/02/96279d538111d1891b0000e8322f96/content.htm
basically the message is saying Extended Memory exhausted, check that your swap/page memory is at least 4 times the size of your RAM.
You can also increase abap/heap_area_* parameters but I'll first check that your EM settings are correct

Juan

SWAP is zero in central instance where the job is running. Any other memory parameter if want to know?
Let me know your suggestion which memory parameter can be incresed?
And, I will close the prevîous thread.
Thanks & Regards,
Sujit.
SWAP is zero in central instance where the job is running
Surely can't be 0.... I'm talking about the swap space at OS level (as page file size) not the SWAPS like in ST03.

I'm not Juan, but if can will write my opinion....
Can you say more detaily, are you BASIS administrator or not?
Can you explain
Physical memory: 130.937,0 MB
Current memory: 104.448,0 MB ??
Go for example to St06N and check from here, you not say how much apllications are running on this server, are BD on same server, may be you have any other SAP servers on this host to? MUCH information needed, but if you really have the
128 GB Physical memory , the 8 GB em/initial_size_MB look's like joke.
Regards.
1) Can you check phys_memsize are (check in rz11).
P.S. or check in ST02 --> SAP memory --> Extended memory
2) Can you post in ST22 --> open dump --> go to "error analysis" you will see like this : -->
How to correct the error
The amount of storage space (in bytes) filled at ter
Roll area...................... 6221152
Extended memory (EM)........... 1051651848
Assigned memory (HEAP)......... 2000778800
Post this information here to.
It is solved.
