Hi Expert,
I need to change dynamically the channel status.
What I can do for turn on/off the comunication channel by result of a ping?
there is an option of controlling it externally - http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs;jsessionid=(J2EE3417400)ID1428112350DB00640527457907893204End...

Yes this option will work, but once PI is restarted the channel is back up again.
Ideally, it should be set inactive from within the channel. This depends on the requirement.
More more info on using API's, please refer http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/46/6dca42e5c269dfe10000000a11466f/frameset.htm

Hi,
You can use Integration directory APIs to create your own application to Turn On/Off the channels.

As far as i know the Communication channel can only be started and stopped through RWB. I dont think it would be possible to automate to change this status.
Hope this helps.
