CV04N - Search Documents

Hi Guru's

I av an issuse while finding the documents in transaction cv04n..

I av released some of the documents... If i search the documents in cv04n transaction by entering From date ,TO date & Doucment status as released then if i execute it is displaying the list of documents which are not been released also...

Kindly let me know how to resolve this issue...

Hi Bhanu,

If you search date entries please note that this works only in

combination with a certain status. Otherwise the system displays all

documents without mentioning the entered date range.. This is due to the

fact that system search documents status from the entered date till

today.

If you want to search just for documents which have a certain status at

the moment just enter the status field. If you want to find a document

which had a certain status on a specific date please enter "date from"

and "date to" field. For furhter information please see the blue info

button too.

As you search for documents with 'date from' and 'date to' you will

find all document info records which had the choosen status in this

time period. So it may be that the document has a different status today

because the entered status was assigned in the past and then changed to

the current document status.

Hi Bhanu,

With respect to CV04N, there is noting to do with any configuration. The system should definitelty react in the way it has to.

So probably check the status netwok for the respective document type, and in your case you would have not marked the status type as Locked for released document status in configuration. If this is not done, any document which is released and again change to Inwork or rework also will be appearing in the list. and the same is happening in your case.

Define Document Types--->Select the doucment type and click on Define document status: docuble click on the release status, and change the status type to locked.
