We are having 2 portals, we have iViews in one and now we require the same iViews in the other one. Is it possible to transport ?

maran,
depends on your portal release.
as of EP6.0 you can go to System-Administration / Transport / Export. There you can create a new "transport package". add all your needed iViews to that package, export it, download it to your client and import it on the second server in the same way.

hi,
Nothing will get affected. they are transported as PCD objects.
The imported objects are created in the same Portal Catalog folder in the target system as in the source system. Since you can export entire folder hierarchies, the folder hierarchies are built analogously in the target system to the source system during import. All the attributes of a folder (name, description) are included in the export, and therefore exist in the target system after the import.
The following rules apply for storing the migrated objects in the target system
If the folder hierarchies in the Portal Catalog are completely identical in the source and target systems, the object is created or, if it already exists, it is overwritten in the target system.

Hi Maran,
You can create the .epa file from these iViews and import this .epa file in another portal.
For converting the business objects into the .epa file please refer to this link:

First you have to transport so you have to follow these steps:
System Administration -> Transport -> Transport Packages -> Export.
After that on the other portal Server perform these steps:
System Administration -> Transport -> Transport Packages -> Import.
I hope this helps you!!
