Hi,
I want to create multiple version to a single DIR version. but the systems gives me an error when I am doing this.
I.e I want a DIR No. 1000 ver 00 rev A, 1000 ver 00 Rev B, 1000 ver 00 rev C and so on
How to achieve this.
Regards
Hi,
That doesnt really make sense. Why would you create multiple revisions of the same version? What is the business process behind it?

Hi Rajiv,
First of all, this can be acheived by activating the ECM wrt DMS.
1. You have to create an engineering change request that supports document processing, Creating an engineering change request means creating an engineering change master with reference to a change type.
2. Creating a Change Master Record:
On the Basic data screen of the document info record, enter the change number.
When you confirm, the system sets the valid-from date from the change master record, provided that documents can be processed with reference to the change number. If the document is allocated to an alternative date in the change master record, the change is valid as of this alternative date rather than the valid-from date in the change master header.
Save your document info record.
Best Regards,
Ravi
