Hi,
We are runnung SAP Solution manager Release 4. Operating system: Windows 2003 Ent. Edition. Oracle: 10.2.0.2.0. We are planning to migrate solution manager to Red Hat Linux.
Can some one provide the complete guide, intsallation of solution manager on linux and steps to migrate the configuration/details to Linux, steps for the migration.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Javid,
You can just treat SAP Solution Manager as other SAP Netweaver based products.
Generally, you need to perform the following steps:
1. download the windows based master disk, then select the export option to export the data.
2. download the linux base installation media, then import data of the previous step.
You can check the detaled guide via http://service.sap.com/instguides.
If you have TDMS installed, that's also possible to transport data via RFC. but the software is not free of charge
let me know if you need more help!
Thanks, Jett
