Upgrading from ECC5.0 to ECC6.0 (Technical Upgrade)

Hi,

We are planning to do technical upgrade of ECC5.0 system to ECC6.0. I have downloaded the media required for the ECC6.0 upgrade.

Do we need to download and specific support packs or Add-ons for ECC6.0 system. Currently on ECC5.0 we have.

Hi Tushar,

There is not specific add-on's for ECC system. Whatever you have installed in ECC 5.0 you can upgrade that if you don't want to install any additional industry solutions.

Question 1

Do I have to add both version 603 and 604 add-ons or only 604 add-ons?

Should I extract all the content of Enhancement packs export into EPS/in directory or it can be done by SAPup tool?

Could you please guide me?

You just calculate support pack queue from MOPZ in solution manager. It will download all packages depending upon your source and target release. And also will calculate dependencies.

Yes. You should extract all your packages in EPS/in directory.
