Diagnostics self check fails - The ITS service could not be connected

Dear Experts,

The E2E diagnostics self check in EHP1 fails in phase Diagnostics loacl connectivity > ITS with the following error message:

The ITS service could not be connected. The URL 'http://<host>:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?~TRANSACTION=&sap-client=100' cannot be reached. (HTTP return code = '500')

Action:Please check the ITS host, port and client values in Diagnostics System Setup Wizard.

All the settings are correct and I can open the URL in my browser without any problems. How can I resolve the problem?

Hello Masoud

Have a look at the ICM Settings of the Solution Manager

start TX SMICM, Have a look at the Services (Press (Shift+F1))

There must be an Entry with the protocol you use (http) and the Service must be Active.

If there is none, the ICM cannot access the Service http://(host)/. and you get an Error.
