Error at export schema at MDM 7.1

I have Error at exporting schema for MDM 7.1:

«syndicator or import map has not been properly updated»

What does it mean ? And gow to resolve?

Hi ..

You need to update all import and syndicate maps before perofrming schema export.

Import maps- As you ope the import manager 1st time, specifying the source file and remote system, system will promt you to automatically update all the import maps. Select the "Yes" option and all your maps would be updated. If all your maps dont get updated, you'll get a message to import the remaining maps by going on each and every map individually. For manual update, just select a map, go on a mapped field, unmap it, again map it, and save your map. repeat the process for all maps.

Syndication maps: Login to Syndicate MGR. Select a map, go on a mapped field, unmap it, again map it, and save your map. Repeat this for all the maps. This ways u'll be updating all the maps.

Now try to export the schema. Im sure u'l lbe able to export it..

Hi Ivan,

Please elaborate on the schema export process that you are performing in detail. Also, please mention if you are migrating from MDM 5.5 to 7.1 or internally between different environments in 7.1.

Incase you are transporting schema from MDM5.5 to to MDM7.1, import and syndication maps will not get transported along with repository schema. This is because MDM5.5 does not support transports of import and syndication maps along with repository schema .

Presuming that you are migrating internally in 7.1 version, SAP recommends use of CTS+ Transport management for transporting MDM 7.1 repository Schema.
