I already know this link but this is the same info for few months now.

So the question is : is it possible to get a release for windows server 2008 (as it is said (u25CA) planned, will be shipped on request via SAPMATS link ), i don't know where to request it

or 7.7 already works with windows server 2008 ?

thanks

Maybe a version exists but it is not released.

Maybe you could ask <<text removed>>

Good luck.

As of the Product availability Matrix, MaxDB 7.7 is already officially available for Windows 2008, so you can just download it from the service marketplace.

I don't know how you come to the conclusion that it would be OK to send around email adresses of sap employees for such questions, but please stop doing that.

For SAP customers it's always possible to open a support message to get an official answer to such questions.

Lars

it looks like someone is mad. he could have found this email info himself. This is public info, nope?

Well. it's one thing to have the email available in the SDN and a totally different thing to say "If you've got questions about this or that, then please write an email to this person!".

That's especially true, when the email address is not yours.

Ok, I understand, this is why I hide my e-mail address!

It's a tricky one. Sometimes it's appropriate, sometimes not. You both seem to agree that this time it's not, so I've removed the name and email.

What product do you want to install?

MaxDB is not a product on its own but just a component.

Hi there,

just search for SAP NETWEAVER CE 7.1 in the PAM and you'll find this:

[PAM entry for SAP NETWEAVER CE7.1|https://service.sap.com/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001303&_EVENT=D_DETAILS&00200682500000003124=000186&00200682500000002804=01200615320900001418&00200682500000003818=PLTFRM]

Where you find that SAP NETWEAVER CE 7.1 is released for MaxDB 7.6 on Windows Server 2003.

The info-link refers to SAP Note [919224|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bc_db/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d393139323234%7d] in which you see that it is in fact released for Windows Server 2008 as well but only as of a certain base version (7.6.04).

Therefore: install the most current patch of MaxDB 7.6 and you're supported on Windows Server 2008.
