Hi,

WRP1 is used for store replenishment . RP type to be use is RP and RF.

a) Use RP type RP in article master. Maintain the Reorder point ,safety stock and the target stock.

b) U have to maintain article master settings for the article as mention above before running WRP1.

C) Follow on documents will get generated for stores for e.g STO depending on the setting in IMG .

d) HQ will run the WRP1 depending on the business process usually it is run weekly..

Hi,

a) What parameter should I set in Article

-Article should be listed in the site you want to run replenishment

-source of supply should be set correctly (like internal supply or external procurement) in logistics store view.

-need to maintain important fields on logistics store view(RP type RF(OR)RP,target cover days ,period indicator ,purchase group, stock planner, source of supply, tax indicator, historical periods, forecast periods, forecast model ..)

b) What setting to be made before WRP1

Forecast should exist for article/store combination for which you want to run replenishment.

c) What is the outcomoe of running WRP1

Dependes on the settings ,it will create PR or PO

d) Who in real time use WRP1 ( Store Manager / HQ ) and how often we should use WRP1 ? ( daily, weekly....)

WRP1 is the store replenishment transaction ,it uses for retail store planning for stores. You can run maually for one article/store or you can schedule job for number of stores /articles.

e) Any other inputs and outcomes of WRP1

f) How it is differing from MD03 tcode

-It is for only retail store replenishment where as MD01,MD03 is normal R/3 MRP.

Plz help.

When I run WRP1, system is not considering open PO qty as available stock. Is there any config. setting I'm missing?

EX:

501551045 PO is not considered

You have to configure the 'availability check' and make sure the check 'open POs' so they are included in the availability check.

Hi Varatharaj,

a) What parameter should I set in Article

In transaction 'MM42' set the following data in 'Logistics: Store' o 'Logistics: Distribution Center'

1. MRP type

2. Target stock

3. Target coverage

4. Forecast model

b) What setting to be made before WRP1

You don't need to set anything, you only need a SAP Retail version and proper data in the articles.

c) What is the outcome of running WRP1

You will have a replenishment requirement which is a proposal of how many units you need to buy or transfer according to a target stock in the store. The result is the calculation of:

Replenishment requirement = Target stock - Expected stock

Where:

Expected stock = stock (unrestricted use) + planned receipts/issues (purchases and stock transfers) - forecast sales (projection of issues calculated by the consumptions of the center according to historical periods. If you want to check them go to 'Logistics: Distribution Center' or 'Logistics: Store' and then 'Consumption values' at the bottom)

The output of 'WRP1' depends what do you want . You could have purchase requisitions or purchases. For clarification, if you run this transaction you will see the results on screen but then you would have to 'Generate follow-on documents (F8)'. If you run it in background it will generate the purchase documents automatically.

d) Who in real time use WRP1 ( Store Manager / HQ ) and how often we should use WRP1 ? ( daily, weekly....)

Normally the purchase department. The store manager would check the documents (purchase requisition o purchases) with 'ME2L' or check the log of 'WRP1'. In our case we have made our transactions to make them check their own documents.

How often you should use it? It depends on your neccesity, your planning calendar, you delivery cycle, your planned delivery time, your goods processing time . The question here is how often will you supply your centers. Ideally you should do it daily but depends on your kind of business.

e) Any other inputs and outcomes of WRP1

Transaction 'WRP1' has user-exits and BADis you could you to modify its behaviour: This is mostly the field of a functional and an abaper.

There's only the output of the documents I stated before, but you could check 'MD04' or 'CO09' to see detailed information on your documents. If you need some kind of log you must create a report for that and make some enhancements.

f) How it is differing from MD03 tcode

Some time ago I realized that in Retail version you have articles and you have materials. You cannot use them in the same way. For articles you use transactions 'MM41', 'MM42' and 'MM43' but for materials you use 'MM01', 'MM02' and 'MM03'. You cannot modify material with 'MM42' and you cannot use 'MM02' with articles.

In our experience we don't use 'WRP1' for materials, just for articles. That is because we base our replenishment on the consumption behaviour and so we use MRP types based on consumption. If your MRP type is 'PD' for example, you are able to use that article with 'MD03'.

There's a lot to say about this transaction, you can improve it with user-exits, BADis and enhancements, you could play around with the MRP types, but all in all it is very precise. Check out SAP documentation on this issue.

Best regards.
