SAPSID_00 Service not starting

Hi,

Due to power fluctuation the server unexpectedly got turned off twice, after starting the server I found one of the service (SAP<SID>_00) not started. I tried to start the service manually there it's given error

(Could not start the SAP<SID>_00 Service on local computer

Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion)

In the Event Viewer there is 2 error for this service.

1. Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the SAPDEV_00 service to connect.

2. The SAPDEV_00 service failed to start due to the following error:

The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

In my server I have ERP 6.0 system and Solution Manager system 7.0.

Solution Manager is running fine. Even in SAP DEV system SCS01 (SAP<SID>_01)

started without any problem.

Server Details: Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise 64 bit, ERP 6.0 SR3, Kernel 700, MS SQL 2005 Enterprise server database.

No Recent logs in SAP till this happens.

Please help me how to start the Service.

Hi ,

We faced similar issue & helped to solve out by this way.::

1. Go to properties of SAPSID_00 & check the location of sapstartsrv.exe.

2. Now check at this location if you are able to see version of sapstartsrv.exe most porbably you wont be able to see version tab

3. Replace this file from other location of same system & start the service.

It helped for us & hope your probelm also will be resolved by this way.

kernel upgrade 720. your reply helped me lot to up the server.
