Hi ,

Please go ahead like this ::

login to OS level with SIDadm.

Now in commad prompt via run directory give command disp+work

here you will be able to see your system kernel level & other specification necessary for searhing in marketplace.

Now login to marketplace & go to

Support Packages and Patches - Entry by Application Group-> Additional Components-> SAP Kernel

Here you will find all the kernel with patch level.Please download DB independent & DB specific kernel.Now download it to your server.Take the backup of your older kernel .

Now stop SAP & after uncaring the new kernel copy this to your kernel directory.fFnally Start the SAP.

Thanks..

Dear Rajesh,

As Subhash has mentioned, in your case, you will find

Kernel Part I in #Database independent section

and

Kernel Part II in ORACLE section.

First, You can download any of the following..

-> SAPEXEDB_175-20000185.SAR

-> SAPEXEDB_196-20000185.SAR

-> SAPEXEDB_221-20000185.SAR

-> SAPEXEDB_247-20000185.SAR

-> SAPEXEDB_274-20000185.SAR

And Second, under #Database independent, you can download any one of the following, based on your SAPEXEDB_# selection....

-> SAPEXE_175-20000182.SAR

-> SAPEXE_196-20000182.SAR

-> SAPEXE_221-20000182.SAR

-> SAPEXE_247-20000182.SAR

-> SAPEXE_274-20000182.SAR

Means, First Go for SAPEXEDB_175-20000185.SAR, so u will also have to download its matching Database Independent Kernel Load SAPEXE_175-20000182.SAR. Add them to your download basket, and download them.

Then, follow the standard procedure to Apply Kernel Patch in Windows Environment, if you have performed it before.

Hi Rajesh,

You can just upgrade the brtools from 6.4 to 7.00 in ECC 5.0 & not whole kernal.

Even if you upgrade the whole kernal , you system will work inconstantly & sap does'nt support for such kernal upgrade.

Follow the note :- Note 849483 - Corrections for BR*Tools Version 7.00

Thanks,

Anil

Hi Rajesh,

As after upgrading the kernal you are not able to view the SAP CONSOLE in MCC , follow the below process for register the SAP interface in MMC.

  • Login on OS with SIDADM user.

  • Goto you kernal directory drive:\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS<IN>\exe

  • Search of file sapstartsrv.exe

  • double click on that, you will get SAP Service Install/Uninstall dailog box

  • on Operation tab select Install Service + Register .................. & on below panel

add you SID , Instance no , click on browse & select start profile , user = .\SAPService<SID> , specify password.

  • click on on OK

if you have abap + java application then do the above procedure for abap instance no & java instance no for eg. 00 & 01

Once command run succesfully you will be able to view sap console in MMC

Try this hope it work

Thanks

Anil
