How to Upgrade java version on J2EE Engine Server?

Former Member

Hi Experts,

We are running the NetWeaver 2004s SP 7 with Java version 1.4.2_08 on the server, but we would like to upgrade the system and be able to upgrade to Java version 1.5. How do we start? We would greatly appreciate your responses.

Thanks,

-Don P.

Hi,

>How do we start?

You DO NOT start ! As Sergo said, SAP J2EE 7.0 only runs with the outdated JDK 1.4.

You can just upgrade the patch level, for example, going from 1.4.2_08 to 1.4.2_13.

This information is widely available in the PAM, help.sap.com, OSS etc...

PS: Where do you get these strange ideas to get in trouble ?

Regards,

Olivier

Can you explain this more accurately? For example the OS version

Are you say about SUN or IBM JDK? I'm think you say about SUN JDK ...when only 1.4.2.XXXX can be installed for

NW 7.0, Do not use

Java version 1.5

In any case Try to check the

Thanks so much for your response and sorry for not explaining clearly. Anyway, we have decided to hold the thought process at the moment. Thank you again.
