We've got one cube A and cube A feed data to three different cubes B, C, and D. The update rules from A to B, C, and D are inactive after transport to TEST system from DEV. We've tried many times to activate these three update rules on DEV system and transport CRs to TEST, but always unsuccessful! We are not authorized to activate these three update rules on TEST system.
When we open the inactive update rule on TEST system, find all key figures are marked as red status.
Any idea?
Thanks
Kevin,
Please check Cube A in testing is active and "exactly" has the same infoobjects as of CUBE A in Development by manual comparing.

Hari

Hi Kevin,
In an update rule, all key figure appear as RED if for a characteristic or key figure, there is no update rule defined.
It means that syntax check on update rules has failed.
Could you verify that all key figures and characteristics in the cubes, and the cubes themselves have been properly transported to QA system.
The update rules are active in the Dev system, right?
cheers,
Vishvesh

hi Kevin,
any error in the transport log ?
we have this sometimes if change routine in update rules,
we just open the routine and save, activate update rules and transport again.
instead of just transport or activate the update rules, try change something in dev, e.g double click the keyfigure, and go to tab 'characteristic' or 'time characteristic', click characteristic mapping, change option to constant and change back, and back to previous screen, the update rule will become revised version, activate again and transport.
hope this helps.

Hi Kevin,
Since you tried many times to activate these three update rules on DEV system and transport CRs to TEST, but was unsuccessful! . So check all the cubes and activate them once again and also check all the objects linked to this update rules are active.
Better option is to collect all the objects via transport connection and then create a request for it and then transport . Make sure in transport request u have not missed any object neccessary of Update rules activation .

Vijay
