Hi All,
I am not able to find consolidated information regarding supported browsers for web dynpro java applications Netweaver7.0.
Any pointers regarding the same would be of great help.
I have already checked the note https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1296463#Text
Regards
Radhika
Hi Radhika,
well this is not the exact place to post this question. You should have posted this under Portal - Content Development. There you will get the more accurate replies.
By the way, for you...
*IE - *
Best explorer to work with is - IE6 version
You may use IE 7 & IE 8 versions, but for them you need to make sure that SP level should be higher.
With IE 8 you need to have SP 18 & above installed. Otherwise, you will face many issues specially with IE 8.
*Firefox, Opera, Chrome, etc. - *
There resolution is quite different with that of IE, so the applications designed will not come good on these browsers. Better to use IE always. Thats the standard.
You must be clear now.
Best Regards

Radhika,
The info regarding browsers compatibility is available in PAM. Go to [service.sap.com/pam|http://service.sap.com/pam]. Select SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (page 7) and SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 (page 9) under Quick Navigation To.
PAM would open in MS powerpoint.
Slide 7-13 have the information you'd need. Also, make sure to read OSS Note 1296463.
Hope this helps,
Vishwas.
Hi Radhika,
The last info I heard was support for < IE7 -- avoid IE8 for now since SAP hasn't released support for this browser. Though personally, I've encountered WebDynpro issues on IE7 - so I recommend still using IE6 for the most stability/compatibility.
Clients can use FireFox, I believe - but for developers and portal administrators, you will encounter issues using FireFox.
Not so sure with support for Chrome at the moment as of yet. So I usually recommend sticking with IE6 or IE7.
Regards,
Jan
