One PI system for Dev, QA and Prod..possible?

Hello Experts,

I have been told that there will be just one PI system, for development and the same has to be used as QA in IST and for Production...

I have 4 scenarios , 2 are JDBC to Proxy and 2 are file to proxy..

Hence, I have to connect to ECC as well for the proxy...

Is it possible????

please put forth ur views on this...

AFAIK its not possible to have one PI systems for all..

i know only SLD can be maintained as a central for all the systems...

its interesting approach... if going to have the same for all then how the maintenance will be ..how the testing will be..

if somebody does R & D and system goes down how are going to ensure that business will not be impacted..

However i feel its risky to go even if its possible to have all the three in single machine

I believe this is a temp solution before the real hardware arrives...

Hence, dev can be ready by then but the point is that ther is ERP for dev, ERp for QA and ERP for Prod...

How can i connect the same Pi system to three different erp s??

as all scenarios have proxy...

Can u pls throw light on this?

you need to create three scenarios for the same ...

one with ERP D BS , ERP Q BS and one for ERP P BS..

As you need to register the ERP business systems in PI SLD ..with three different names..

you will end up in creating three scenarios. one for each..

OR need to try like this

test the entire thing with EPR D sys and break the connection and establish the same with ERP Q and finally to ERP P..

which is again painful and risky..

Yes..You can have one PI as DEV, QA & PRD.

But for data Security , there should be a different PI System for PROD.

You can have One PI for DEV & QA and a seperate PI for PROD.

It is risky to have one PI for DEV,QA & PRD
