Hello,
We are trying to assign handling cost in SNP and we assigned these cost in the location/product view. But the optimizer apparently is not taking into account the handling cost. We looked at the optimizer log, under input data, and the handling cost are 0 (zero).
Do you guys have any idea about what could be the problem? How do we assign these costs?
Thanks,
David
Dear DToron
I think you are mentionining the GR cost assigned in the product master data.
Check if you have maintained GR resource in the resource tab of the location master to
which the product is also refering too. If not you have to maintain a resource of type H handling
in the location master to pick the relevant cost in the inbound for GR and outbound for GI.

Thank you Virender for your answer.
We do have the resource assign to the location and we have also specified the consumption rate. The handling capacity is working fine, but it does not take into account the associated costs. In the optimizer logs, under input log, the handling costs appear as zero. We have tried associating the costs at the product/location view, also at the resource level, but still not able for the optimizer to see these costs. Also if we check the optimizer log, under the total costs, we do not see any column that refers to the handling costs, there are transportation costs, production costs and storage cost but no handling costs.
What coud be the reason?
Thanks,
David
Dear Keneth
Since Dtoron is already trying to map it by puttin the cost in the resource itself the same can be used.
A standard capcity as low as 1 can be maintained and cost for capacity increase can be maintained in variant 02.

what do you mean handling cost.
There is no handling cost.
There is only increasing handling capacity costs.

Dear DToron
can you check if you have maintained weightage to the handling capacity cost in the cost profile used in the optimizer.
