Hi Guys,

Need some direction regarding XI

[1]

I know that there are 3 ways to create external interfaces in XI in integration directory using:

Message Interface

External Definition and

Imported (SAP) Object

Could any one give some links on to what are the GUI steps required to be performed in the Integation repository GUI with some concrete examples on each of the above said scenario.

[2]

Is there a third party tool available for creating xml schema or DTD.

And from the created schema produce an xml file

Thanks

P

Hi,

These are real basic questions. Please make a search on SDN / SAP Help before posting here. You will find tons of documents over these topics.

GUI is a simple and user friendly for message type creations

just place the cursor and then right click on the same for creating a new ones

For Tools regarding the DTD /XSD there are lot you can try XML SPY which is very useful for WSDL and other things of XML..

Hi,

You can create a message interface from internally created message type or xsd or predefined message type given from sap. All the blogs in xi where ever you see an message interface shows you the example. Also sap help tell you about this:

You can use altova xml spy or stylus studio and there are some other external tools also. From the schema to create xml file you can see this link:
