hi,
in sales order i've entered po no as abc in overview screen & i created contract with reference to order
but po no is not getting copied into contract .

Well....this is a bit unusual to create a contract w.r.t a sales order.
But just check the copy ctrl routine from order to contract at the header level. you might have to add the logiv to take PO number from order and copy it in contract header.
You need to make a custom copy control routine and insert the same in VTAA.
In standard the system will not copy the PO No. & PO Date from Contract to Order.
