Handling unit

Hi All,

I have to ship an order containing 50 boxes

I would like to know the steps to create a handling unit for each carton.

Please help.

Hi Meghna,

I understand that your material is not box. You are referring to packing material by Box.

Is there any basis for splitting of items into cartons.

If you want to split based on (partial) quatity, you can do so by giving Material & partial quantity (say 1 PC, Total qty being 50 PC)

in "Material to be packed" pane of VL02N-Pack.

give Box as packing material on top (HU pane). Select these two entries and click on "Pack per part. qty". You will get 50 HUs created automatically.

If you dont have any base

1) give partial qty 1 and change Total quantity also to 1 in Material to be packed" pane. give Box as packing material on top (HU pane). Select these two entries and click on "Pack"

2) give partial qty 20 and change Total quantity also to 20 in Material to be packed" pane. give Box as packing material on top (HU pane). Select these two entries and click on "Pack"

So On upto 50 cartons.
