IDOC basic types

Dear Experts,

for IDOC message type DESADV (Delivery Shipping notification), are there any difference between basic types DELVRY01, DELVRY03, DELVRY04 and DELVRY05? They all seem to be for Delivery interface and contain similar structures?

Hi,

There is no difference as such . When new fields are added to the IDOC, SAP will create a new IDOC type with next release. So, Delivery05 is the one that has come with latest release. Reason why SAP does it is that, it still has to support Old interfaces after Upgrade.
