How to handle a customer supplied item?

Hello,

customer send us used devices - we sold him several years ago - back for update and modification.

How to track them in sap 4.6C?

i don't want to increase my stock value, but provide these devices to our manufacturer to modificate.

Any ideas?

You can use the repairs process to get the items back to your warehouse. the stock shows as special repair stocks in the Plant. You can refer to the Service management baseline scenarios to configure that. The main thing is that you assign a repair procedure to your item category.

But can I post this stock to my vendor, so combining special stock "O" with repair stock??
