UD Document Item text

Hi

In UD Stock posting screen, you can enter both document header text and document item text, header text no issue, it will appear in MB51, but I cannot get item text appear in MB51, check mseg table there is item text field, how is this field get populated ?? where is UD document item text data store? which table?

strange, read the F1, it said this is only applicable for FI item text function and not MM, then how come in UD you are allow to enter the data and it did not get store?

In mb51 enter material , pant anf f8

click on current display variant , 2 tabs wil appear header and position , click on position- if u select Document Header Text header text will appear and select Text for item text and click on copy

stored in Text - SGTXT field in MSEG TABLE

for this u have to enter both the texts and ppost some quatity, so that mvt. happens in background anf for that mvt. type text will appear in mb51

I check QALS, check MSEG, Document Item text did not get updated any where??

it is present in MSEG table

but for updation in table u should first create data.

for this take any inspection lot, in inspection stock posting for ex. enter some qty. in unrestricted and then on right hand side doc. text tab is present. click and enter some text save.

text gets stored in Text - SGTXT field in MSEG TABLE.

in mb51 follow earlier mentioned steps.

are you telling me you can get it in mseg table? of course i have done that, meaning enter text in document item text during UD..
