Hi, while reciving insp we need to check mech properties, chemical properties,ndt properties. in qp01 operations view, defined 10 as mech properties, 20 as chemicalprop etc. against each operation assigned differet characterstics. pls advise is it the correct way? what is the best way?

Yes when you can differentiate the char depending upon the operation then this is the best way to create a task list & do the result recording.This will be also useful when different persones are doing different operations result recording.

Second option could be just go for a single operations & maintain MICs as mech properties, chemical properties,ndt properties.

Dear Sujit, in second option, if we need tensile, yield, elong (different parameters) need to check as mic. how to map this in second option. is it possible?

yes in the same operation create MIC's as tensile, yield, elong .

Number of chhar will increase but this will work.
