I have a high number of red alerts on buffer swaps. I have adjusted a number of them to remove the red alerts. Which ones are truly performance and need to be fixed.
Thanks
Mikie
Hi,
A good rule of thumb is: always aim for zero buffer swaps, except in the Program Buffer where a small number of swaps (up to a few thousand per day) is acceptable. Also monitor proactively the "Freespace KB", if it frequently falls below 15-20% (again the program buffer is an exception), then increase the buffer during your next system maintenance window.

Mark

- High Number means, how many numbers you are taking about in a day?
- Which buffers are you getting alerts on? and what speific adjustments did you make?
