code valuation error

Dear Gurus

How to valute the selected set ? Actually when I am trying to create a selected set with catalog 9 and when I am trying to save after entering the desired codes for that selected set the system is throwing an error message 'enter the valuation' whereas the field 'code valuation' is in deactive mode How to get rid of this error message ?

Hi

As per my knowledge only

Selected sets from the catalog types Characteristic attribute and Usage decision also contain a valuation for each code, as additional information (Accepted or Rejected).

defect code of code type 9 have valuation & not selected set.

What you told is right. Then how to record defects automatically in a lot.If you tell me it will be a help for me.

You have to manually enter the defect.

you can maintain defect class for defect in SPRO like majorA ,MinorA etc

when you enter defect agaist a char or operation or lot defect class will automatically populate.

a char can be accepted or rejected depending upon the type of sampling procedure & limit set for that char.
