I am installing SAP PI 7.1 EHP1 and searching, besides the SAP installation Guide from service marketplace, for the further documents/blogs about:

- post installation steps for SAP PI 7.1 EHP1

- SLD, Creation of business systems, etc.

Post installation details are available along with the installation guide itself. Have you look for Section 5

Hi!

Do I need an extra client for XI/PI or can I use therefore the client 001?

This client (001) is installed per default.

Hi,

I think its better to uae different client may be some components in SAP PI/XI need to have this kind of parameters correctly defined for work in design time.

If you will be installing ABAP+Java stack it will take by default 001 client. In case of only ABAP it takes 000 client.

you should copy it to anotehr client something like 200,210 etc.

Is it right that the new SAP system PI 7.1 EHP1 does not have a start profile or do I miss some additional installations?
