Hello,
We have a very simple inventory and phsical warehouse. We do not need the Warehouse Module with it's complexities, but we would still like to run an MRP to generate Purchase Reqs, etc.
Does anyone know if we can have MRP with no Warehouse Module?
regards
Bill
Welcome to SDN
The answer is Yes. You could run MRP without warehouse module implementing. As you know MRP is based on planning of materials.
Hope this helps

thanks,
Does that mean in our environment where I do have a warehouse it doesn't get down to the warehouse quantities? It stays on the Inventory Level and at that level compares quantity on hand to demand and current replenishment? I guess that would make sense. I was thinking of what config or settings that it uses from WM, but I guess it doesn't
thanks,
I'll configure a new storage location for our plant in the test box, create some demand for the stock, and try this without defining a warehouse. This will make our customer happy
appreciate the help

Bill,
MRP only looks at the stocks at the IM level, so you need not worry about WM
