My BTC wps always in run state.due to this my server is very slow.how to stop these processes?is there any harm in stopping these processes?
My server takes a lot of time (nearly 20 mins ) to start. Is there any way to speed the server startup?
Please resolve....
Thanks & regards

Your system is not coming up because your database is broken. This is an internal error code I could neither find in SAP notes nor in Oracle metalink.
I suggest you open an OSS call and let the support have a look on the system.

Hello Will,
once again, I think you should ask your new questions in new threads.
One reason is that the Rules of Engagement do say so:
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/HOME/RulesofEngagement
Furthermore, I am sure you will get more help then. The title of this thread is about stopped dispatcher. There are people who are not familiar with dispatchers, but might know a lot about about your other questions. Why should they read this thread?
But anyway, I am not an expert for starting SAP on Windows. I can't comment more on your question.
And about your batch job: I would not stop it, but try to speed it up. Search SDN or SAP notes.
Well, I tried for you; have a look if SAP note 147700 will help.

this is about background work process!!!!

Hello Will,
glad it helped, thanks.
As for your other questions, I think you should start other threads, or first search for similar problems already solved. But let me try:
Stopping background work processes: I think the answer will depend on what running batch jobs you are going to interupt. Perhaps ask the owner of the jobs.
And startup time: Not sure if there can be a quick answer. Not sure by the way if by server you mean operating system or SAP instance. But I think in 'SAP on Windows' there have been similar questions.
regards
hey joe
i'm asking about startup of sap instance......

Hey,
For background job, it would help you more if you check in SM37
There you can see the long running background job's name.
Also you can get the job log.
From the job log you can find out whether the job is actually doing anything currently.
The other thing you can check is whether this job is cyclic
If yes then check the average time it takes to complete.
Then you can get in touch with the user who scheduled the job and consult him whether you can terminate the job.
Regards,
Ashutosh
