Hi,
I was looking on the concept of RequirementGRouping.
Its a collective procurement on wbs level.
can any give inputs on which business scenario we can use and pre req.
Regards
As suggested, Requirement grouping is nonting but, instead of maintaing stock at level of all the project WBS elements you maintain it on Grouping WBS Elements.
Due to it on all actuals / commitment postings you will find Grouping WBS elements starting from MRP -->(PR --PO) / Planner order -Production order ) --GI etc.....
The simplest form for to use it, is via automatick requirement grouping in project Defination. in that case your level 1 WBS, which was created first, if there are more than one level 1 WBS, will become Grouping WBS.
If you wanted to use cross project than you have to use
GRM4 - Assign WBS Elements Individually
GRM3 - Assign WBS Elements Using List .
This will give you better bargaining power while you are purchasing large quantity instead of small quantities for the project.
Just do the small scenario with automatick requirement groupings and see the actaul posints line item WBS no. it will make your understadning clear.

Hi
Example:
Under one network order you can group all the requirement into one PR.
Example if your creating 10 activities under one net work order you can create one PR with 10 line items.
Thanks

Hi,
Requirements groupings causes all requirements and stocks of the project referencing the project stock to be managed exclusively on the level of the grouping element.
i.e im mrp, only one wbs element is used as an individual stock segment, and all PRs, orders, POs referencing the project stock are assigned to this WBS element.
it can be used where you want that individual requirements from different project parts are managed as common stock.
there are certtain prerequisites:
the material must be manageable in an individual stock,
PS must permit valuated project stock,
material should permit a period lot sizing process.
