Query on SAP XI Certification Prerequisites

I was told that one of the prerequisite to write a direct Certification Exam on XI is that

even though you have two years of XI implementation Experience <b>you should have one year of experience with your Current Employer</b>.

This is now stopping me to write a Certification Exam directly without training.

I really don't understand the reason of this prerequiste. If anyone has any idea please throw some light on this.

now they have come up with a rule that you need to have at least 1 year of work ex with your <b>current employer</b>.

this wasnt there earlier i suppose. I had enquired with the SAP education dept. on the same and they are very much sticking to the norm of 1 year completion.

I personally feel this is not a good approach as in the IT industry people change their organisation pretty frequently ... at least in india for sure !!!
