SO creation from PROJECT

Hi Experts,

My client wants the creation of sales order from CJ20N screen on demand basis.

Means as soon a project is created and released , simultaneously a sales order should get created in SD.

Can we achieve this functionality by any means ??

I suggested ASSEMBLY PROCESSING, where we can have project creation from a sales order, but client refused to go for that.

Please suggest.

Hi

This is not possible in STD SAP.

The sales order is a requirement which is coming from the external source(Ex: Customer). You can generate the requirement from project like purchase requstion and planned order. You cannot create the sales order from project.

Explain this functionality to your client.

I hope almost standard answers has been posted.

Im not sure can we make (while releasing the project can system generate mail to concerned team person to create SO)

or Providing Authorization to only one person (Creating proj and SO)

Experts validate.

Hi,

As far as I know there is no standard way of creation of sale order from Project but you can use screen layout exit CNEX0007 of WBS to create a field/ Icon in Project and then link it to BAPI for sale order creation BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT1 in which hard code order type for project and customer you can pick from Partner determination of Project.
