SRM 7.0 withou Portal (use NWBC)

Hi all,

I have heard that you can use SRM 7.0 without a Portal with the usage of Netweaver Business Client(NWBC).

Any experience with that?

I assume that you need EhP1 for SRM 7.0 to use NWBC but I can not find any Release notes for EhP 1 for SRM.

Any information concerning NWBC or EhP1 for SRM 7.0?

Hi,

You can use Netweaver Business Client with Portal.

If you do not want to have Portal, you have to wait future release.

thanks, but I thought, the use of NWBC is one way to use SRM 7.0 without Portal.

Furthermore I think you need EhP1 for SRM 7.0 to use it without portal?

But I cant find any release date for EhP1 for SRM 7.0.

Any information concerning that point?

Hi,

NWBC is a client tool like IE browser, FireFox, SAPGUI. NWBC is not same level as Portal.

Future SRM will have option without Portal.

When it is announced you can find info at http://service.sap.com/releasestrategy .

As of now for SRM7.0 portal is mandatory. But from SRM7.0 EhP 1 may have the NWBC platform. EhP1 is tentatively planned to release towards end of this year.
