Attaching thumbnails in PLM 7.0

Hi Experts,

I am pretty new to PLM-WUI application and I was wondering, how can I attach a thumbnail to a new material?

You "attach" a thumbnail to a material simply by configuring how the image shows up using "Define Search Sequence for Viewable File" inside the PLM 7.0 IMG.

There is no real attaching. The system converts the image file stored inside the DIR linked to the material and shows it on the material screen. Hope this helps.

Neil,

You should be able to link documents and materials using the thumb nail set up configuration, here you define the respective work station applications and their order of precedence. How ever make sure that there are relevant image files. If you are in the CAD desk top there are certain configurations to be done in the 3rd party tools too for auto generation of neutral files too.
